FRUIT BOWL CUP — OFFICIAL SPORTING REGULATIONS

Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) Event Standard Operating Procedures

Notice to All Competitors: All participating drivers are expected to read and understand these regulations prior to entering the server. Lack of awareness will not be accepted as an excuse for on-track infractions.

1. General Conduct & System Requirements
  • Sportsmanship: Respectful behavior is required at all times across text chat, voice chat, and Discord. Toxicity or berating other competitors will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Connection Requirements: Drivers must maintain a stable internet connection. Drivers causing severe visual lag or warping on the server may be asked to retire.
  • Name Matching: In-game ACC display names must match the registered driver name provided in the Discord registration channel.
2. On-Track Racing Etiquette & Overtaking

Corner Entry & Overlap

  • Establishing Overlap: To earn the right to racing room inside a corner, an attacking car’s front axle must be alongside or ahead of the defending car’s rear axle prior to the turn-in point.
  • Right to the Line: If overlap is established before turn-in, the defending driver must leave at least one car width of space. If no overlap is established before turn-in, the lead car owns the racing line.

Defending & Blocking

  • One Move Rule: A defending driver may make one direction change to defend on a straight. Reactionary moves (moving in response to the car behind pulling out) are strictly prohibited and classified as blocking.
  • No Weaving: Weaving across the track to break slipstream is forbidden.

Safe Re-joins & Incident Courtesy

  • Unsafe Re-joins: If a driver leaves the circuit or spins, they must hold their brakes and wait for clear space before re-entering. The re-joining car must yield to oncoming traffic. Re-joining unsafely into oncoming traffic incurs severe penalties.
  • Self-Surrender (Giving Back Positions): If Driver A accidentally contacts Driver B and gains a position, Driver A should immediately pull over and safely return the position. Voluntary yielding will significantly mitigate or eliminate steward penalties post-race.

Lapped Traffic & Blue Flags

  • Blue Flag Responsibilities: Lapped cars must remain predictable and hold their current line. Do not make sudden course changes or brake unexpectedly to let a faster car through. Allow the faster car to execute the overtake safely.
3. Event Structure, Pre-Qualifying & Scoring

Pre-Qualifying (PreQ) Eligibility

  • A 24/7 public practice server on Mount Panorama will be open for a 7-day period prior to event day. Drivers may join at any time during this window to set their times.
  • Drivers must complete a minimum of 5 valid, clean laps on the server to establish an official position on the leaderboard.
  • The top 16 drivers on the PreQ leaderboard lock in their grid position 24 hours prior to race day. Drivers placed 17–19 serve as official reserves.

Pre-Qualifying Server Environment & Conditions

  • Track Surface & Grip: Locked to Optimum (100% Grip) continuously. Dynamic track rubbering is disabled to maintain identical surface friction for all entrants.
  • Weather & Temperatures: Fixed clear/dry conditions with static ambient and track temperatures (no dynamic weather progression).
  • Time of Day: Locked to a static time of day with time progression set to 0x to ensure consistent visibility.
  • Lap Validity: Automated track-limit enforcement is active. Off-track infractions (2/4 wheels out of bounds) automatically invalidate the lap and exclude it from the official leaderboard.
  • Track Etiquette during PreQ: Drivers on an out-lap or slow lap must safely yield to approaching cars on a hot lap.

Grid Lineup & Inversion

  • Race 1: Set by Pre-Qualifying leaderboard results.
  • Race 2: Finishing positions of Race 1.
  • Race 3: Reverse Grid (Top 8 finishers of Race 2 inverted). Positions 9 through 16 start in their finishing order from Race 2.
  • Race 4: Finishing order of Race 3.

Points System

P1P2P3P4P5P6P7P8P9P10
10 pts9 pts8 pts7 pts6 pts5 pts4 pts3 pts2 pts1 pt
  • P11 and lower: 0 points awarded.
  • Fastest Lap Bonus: +1 Point per race (Driver must finish inside the top 10 to claim the bonus point).
4. Disconnections & Server Interruptions
  • Individual Disconnect: Treated as a mechanical failure (DNF). The race will continue without restart.
  • Server Crash / Mass Disconnect:
    • Under 50% race distance: The race session is restarted with a 5-minute grid re-assembly break.
    • Over 50% race distance: The race is declared complete, and points are awarded based on the order of the last fully completed lap prior to the crash.
5. Technical Settings & Penalties

Balance of Performance (BoP)

  • The official, in-game SRO GT3 BoP will remain active across all server sessions. Custom BoP modifications will not be applied.

Stewarding & Incident Reviews

  • Post-Race Review System: Incidents will be reviewed post-race using server replay files.
  • Submitting an Incident Ticket: Drivers involved in an un-yielded incident must submit a clip/timestamp to the official Discord incident submission channel within 24 hours following the conclusion of the event.
  • Penalty Deductions: Stewards may issue demerit point penalties to a driver’s overall event score for serious offenses:
    • Minor (-2 Points): Unsafe re-join forcing evasive action.
    • Moderate (-5 Points): Causing avoidable contact that results in position loss or damage.
    • Severe (-10 Points / DQ): Reckless driving or taking out multiple cars.
6. Standings & Tie-Breaker Resolution

If two or more drivers finish the 4-race event tied on total points, overall standing positions will be resolved using the following criteria, applied in sequential order:

  • 1. Highest Individual Race Finish: Advantage goes to the driver with the highest single finish across all 4 races (e.g., a P1 finish beats a highest finish of P2).
  • 2. Most Highest Finishes (Countback): If still tied, the driver with the most 2nd-place finishes, then 3rd-place finishes, and so on across the event will take precedence.
  • 3. Most Fastest Laps: If still unresolved, the driver who set the highest number of official fastest race laps during the event will take the position.
  • 4. Pre-Qualifying (PreQ) Position: If a tie persists after all race metrics are evaluated, the tie-breaker will default to whichever driver set the faster lap time on the official Pre-Qualifying leaderboard.
